Sorry about the web version! For the downloaded file you have to extract it with right click > Extract All and inside the folder double click the file with the capibara icon! Let me know if you need more help.
This is a fun little concept! I'd love to see it expanded with some more characters or depth - sometimes the tone or pacing felt rushed but in a game this tiny it of course isn't a big deal. Some other things I'd love to see is some sort of intro character instead of a black screen and maybe character portraits or more hints of what the OG Player was doing, or what happened to them. Love this little gem, hope to see more from you!
Super cute game! I was confused about the pipe at first, but soon figured it out. I would love a longer version of this game where you repair everything on the island and try to bring back the villagers.
I tried to play this in browser and it kept freezing whenever I tried to enter the house, it took me to the loading screen and then just froze, I tried two differant times and even just sat and waited but the music cut off when it started loading, the game I did get to play was lovely though!
This game rocks! My closest friend entrusted me with his copy of animal crossing when i moved away. I enjoyed it so much because of the memories of playing side by side, and eventually building my own town. I put it down for a few years and the cartridge rotted to the point that it couldnt be opened anymore. I hope my villagers are resting in peace somewhere with grampa capipara :(
Aww this warms my heart! Actually I got inspired to make this for similar reasons, it was because I also opened animal crossing after many years and the villagers all complained I disappeared hehe. I hope your villagers and grandpa capibara are doing well!
Your game starts at 07:57. We loved the concept and art direction. The writing was excellent and while the situation was sad, it had a wonderful uplifting message at the end. The meta humor was well done and the best part of this. We appreciated using game logic to solve puzzles while poking fun at it. Keeping the area small made exploring fun and walking to the next objective didn't take to long. Keep up the good work!
As someone who gets ridiculously attached to her video game characters, playing the game was equally heart-breaking as it was wholesome. I am happy to give little Grandpa peace :'>
I'm so sorry :´( I wanted to release a mac version from the start but there was no way I could test it. But I decided to try making a mac build now! It could be very buggy though, so let me know if you try it!
Oh, what a bittersweet but slightly happy experience it was. After I finished playing, the feeling of playing was quite sad, and I couldn't help but read about Grandpa Capipara with a shout. Also, this light pastel-colored world was very nice and fun!
I will be playing this via download in the future when I'm able to, however for now I thought I might share an error that occurs when playing the embedded version - I got this while walking into the house when it was first opened, after getting the pipe and rocks for the fountain. https://pastebin.com/L1L66h5B

Use the pliers to cut the big pipe at the front of the station.
